WEEK 1

Tuesday January 30th, 2007            3:30-5:00 PM
Objective:  Introduction, complete HW Lesson 1 (Pg. 14-17)

    + Introduction to Class – establish class rules, etc.
    
    + Introduction to the Dell TechKnow program at school.

    + Show “Orientation” PowerPoint.

    + Hand out Work Book.

    + Go through Lesson 1 PowerPoint

    + Home Work Lesson 1 Pages 14-17.
*    Use Glossary of Terms in the back of your Work Book to complete Lesson 2, Vocabulary Word Wall on page 19 and have parent signs STUDENT CONTRACT, pg. 6 for next class.

Thursday February 1st, 2007         3:30-5:00 PM
Objective:  Assign computers, Start HW Lesson 2.  Complete Pg. 24-37

    + Distribute computers to students.
    
    + How to safely clean the outside of a monitor and computer.

    + Complete Review, Lesson 1 (pg. 20).

    + Lesson 2 PowerPoint.

    + Review front and back of computer in detail.

    + Home Work Lesson 2. Pg. 24-37
*    Use Glossary of Terms in the back of your Work Book to complete Lesson 3, Vocabulary Word Wall on page 40 for next class.

WEEK 2

Tuesday February 6th, 2007            3:30 – 5:00 PM
Objective: Complete HW Lesson 2 (pg. 19-37)

•    Review back of computer in detail.
Back: Give examples of what type of devices could connect to each port (printers, scanners, keyboards, mice, USB devices, expansion slots).    

•    Have students complete Part Two (pg 21).
•   
•    Review front and back of computer, have students say name on technical terms of the computer.
Note: This is just an introduction to the computer.

•    Quiz class on peripherals and where they connect to the computer.

•    Students should complete pages 19-37.

Home Work Lesson 2. Pg. 19-37
•    *    Use Glossary of Terms in the back of your Work Book to complete Lesson 4, Vocabulary Word Wall on pages 38 and 40 for next class.


Thursday February 8th, 2007            3:30 – 5:00 PM
Objective: Complete Peripheral Devises-Part1 Lesson 3 (pg.39-43).

•    Students should complete Review Lesson 2.
