Flag FootballThe Horace Mann football team is entering into a new era. Coach Bob Louis takes the reigns this year, and is prepared to lead the team deep into the playoffs. Louis, who's resume includes a state championship at Chatfield, is hoping his his success at the high school level will translate to the middle school game.
Led by 8th graders Randy Armijo and Abraham Rodriguez, the boys in blue will try to execute the west coast offense to perfection, as did the Chatfield Chargers during their state title run of 2001. Greg Montoya will be the anchor of the O-line, and the chief man in charge of protecting Quarterback Nick Gomez. Look for the passes to be long, and the defense to be tough.
