Softball vs MooreThe win streak has reached 2 for the Tigers with a victory over Moore middle school yesterday. Miranda Sanchez took the mound in the 2nd game and struck out 4 in 3 innings. Lizette Delgado recorded her 1st save of the season in her 1st relief appearance. Delgado struck out 2 batters. Rosemary Hernandez and Vanessa Lechuga punished the ball with 2 hits each and Margarita Marquez and Satya Akquia each had 4 RBI. The girls started off strong, only allowing 4 batters to the plate in the 1st inning. After Sanchez issued a leadoff walk she struck out 2 of the next 3 and got out of the inning with only 1 earned run given up.
The tigers 1st turn at the plate included 7 walks, and a base clearing shot by Sanchez. Plate disciple has been huge for the girls, who have been vey good at laying off of bad pitches.
